The Developer
Hello, my name is John Roy and I am the developer of Stadium Village Homes.
I arrived at the campus of Notre Dame for the first time on February 12th,
2005 to interview for acceptance into the Mendoza College of Business for
an MBA.
When I began to look for housing, I was disappointed to find that
there was no community that offered newer housing within walking distance
to the campus as well as restaurants and shops. I also learned that my MBA
colleagues had to stay miles away in downtown South Bend whenever they flew
in for classes. I decided that there was an opportunity for a new vibrant
community next to the University and began to purchase land one block east
of campus.
After three years of hurdles, I am ready to turn my initial vision
into a reality. I invite you to share in this unique opportunity to become a
resident at Stadium Village Homes. The community offers up to 2,800 sq. ft.
ultra-luxury townhomes with spectacular views of the stadium and campus. There
are also many options in between. The initial price range is from the $300,000s
to over $400,000. We broke ground on the townhomes in November 2007 with
completion expected in the early Fall of 2008.
The Builder
Stadium Village Homes has partnered with Signature Homes and Craig Taelman.
Mr. Taelman is one of the finest custom home builders in the area and
focuses on custom, high-end construction. Craig A. Taelman has been in the
building industry since 1976. Before building homes, Craig graduated from
the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, Bloomington.
Some of Craig's accomplishments include:
Twice elected by his peers to the position of President of the St. Joseph
Valley Home Builders Association.
Served as President of the Potawatomi Zoological Society.
President of the YMCA's Camp Eberhart and served as a board member of the YMCA of Michiana.
Mr. Taelman is also a member of the Rotary Club.
